It is with great sadness that the City of Bostwick has declared that it will not host the annual Cotton Gin Festival this year - November 7th, 2020. This decision comes as a result of the Governorís executive orders and the safety of our community. Each year our little community embraces our farming heritage with a tractor parade, crafters and great food. Given the large number of participants, it not possible to comply with the social distancing guidelines.

The Cotton Gin Committee will be reaching out to all registered crafter and food vendors by email for a refund within the coming days. Please be patience and email us if you have questions at angie.howard@bellsouth.net.

Thank you for the continued support.

The Bostwick Cotton Gin Festival began to save the Susie Agnes Hotel in the late 80's. Thanks to local residents, money was raised to purchase the hotel from a private owner and restoration began. The festival centers around an operating cotton gin, tractor parade, arts and crafts and live music.

The July 4th BBQ began in the mid 60' to raise money for the Bostwick public school. When the school closed and students were bused to Madison the BBQ continued through sponsorship from the Bostwick Fire Department, the Masonic Lodge and the City of Bostwick. All money raised is used for fire department equipment and the Masonic children's home.
