Events & Cotton Gin Festival

The Bostwick Cotton Gin Festival began to save the Susie Agnes Hotel in the late 80s. Thanks to local residents, money was raised to purchase the hotel from a private owner and restoration began. The festival centers around an operating cotton gin, tractor parade, arts and crafts, and live music.

The July 4th BBQ began in the mid 60′ to raise money for the Bostwick public school. When the school closed and students were bused to Madison the BBQ continued through sponsorship from the Bostwick Fire Department, the Masonic Lodge and the City of Bostwick. All money raised is used for fire department equipment and the Masonic children’s home.
